Acceptable Use
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the boundaries of permitted use of the hoaxeye platform, APIs, integrations, and related Services. By using the Services, you agree to comply with this AUP.
1. General Conduct
You agree to use the Services lawfully, ethically, and in accordance with these rules. You must not use the Services in any way that harms hoaxeye, its infrastructure, its partners, or other users.
2. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Submitting intentionally false, misleading, or fabricated data to manipulate detections, verdicts, reputation scores, or intelligence outputs
- Attempting to reverse engineer, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of hoaxeye infrastructure, APIs, detection mechanisms, heuristic catalogues, signature databases, or scoring/grading logic without explicit written authorization. Good-faith security research conducted within the scope and safe-harbour rules of our Security Disclosure Policy is expressly permitted.
- Subjecting third-party FiveM resources to hoaxeye's heuristic resource-code analysis (Section 10a of the Terms of Service) without holding the necessary rights to do so. You alone are responsible for ensuring that the licence under which you obtained any third-party resource permits security analysis; uploading or running protected resources for analysis without that authorisation is prohibited.
- Accessing or attempting to access accounts, workspaces, or data belonging to other customers without authorization
- Using the Services to harass, stalk, dox, or threaten any individual
- Using the Services for unlawful surveillance or tracking
- Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the Services or any data obtained through the Services without authorization
- Automating abuse of the Services, including but not limited to excessive API calls, credential stuffing, scraping, or automated account creation
- Interfering with or disrupting the performance, availability, or integrity of the Services
- Using the Services in violation of applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
3. API Usage
API access is subject to rate limits, fair use policies, and the terms of your subscription plan. You must not:
- Exceed published or communicated rate limits
- Share API credentials with unauthorized parties
- Use the API to build competing products without permission
- Inject malicious payloads or exploit API endpoints
4. Data Integrity
You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of data you submit to the Services. Deliberately poisoning data sources, submitting fake reports, or manipulating intelligence feeds is a serious violation and may result in immediate termination.
5. Enforcement
Violations of this AUP may result in:
- Warning or notification
- Temporary restriction or suspension of access
- Permanent termination of your account
- Legal action where appropriate
The procedure for suspension and termination — including the cure period required by § 314 para. 2 BGB for consumer contracts — follows Section 9 of our Terms of Service. Enforcement without prior notice applies only in the cases listed there (serious or repeated violation, imminent risk, binding legal obligation).

7. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be announced in accordance with the amendment procedure set out in Section 18 of our Terms of Service, including the applicable notice period, your right to object, and — where required — an extraordinary right of termination. Non-material clarifications or updates required by mandatory law take effect upon publication; for consumers, statutory protection remains unaffected.
